Great Food for Thought

Paulo Coelho can do no wrong in my book. This collection of thoughts from his books and other writings summarizes his beliefs on life, love, destiny etc. It provides the reader with food for thought and reminds us of the things we know about life somewhere in the back of our heads but tend to forget we know as life happens.
If you're not careful you can read this entire book in less than an hour, but if you do you'd have missed the point. I read, reflect and where appropriate, I write.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This is something everyone should read,it has something for everyone and something that most people will enjoy. This is a great gift book because it is so easy to read and enjoyable.

the authenticity of our dreams. The author asks that we
open our hearts to follow dreams to their ultimate fruition.
The author asks that we choose one path rather than scattering
our efforts over the many.

This in itself is good advice. The pilgrimage itself teaches
the best way to actualize our dreams. From a practical standpoint,
human beings search for dreams but toil to achieve them. Virtue is similar to courage for those who seek the spiritual path.
Our energy and knowledge are attributed to G-d.

The book is an excellent rendition for relating the spiritual realm
to the practical world we live in.

The story is pretty good. I don't feel I've wasted my time with the book. I could not bring myself to give it five stars because, while it did include about two or three words used in the UK to attempt to sell the dialect, the wording might have sold the characters a little better for me. Overall, the writer did a good job of telling the story.

One of the best autobiographic memoirs ever written and I'm not the only one who thinks so 8-) Not a history but a personal journey covering the 1920s through WWII with his interactions with many distinctive literary, political, military,espionage, and media personalities of those days. His wanderings took him from India and the Soviet Union, where he lived and worked as a half-hearted educator and/or journalist, to espionage activities, bordering on the absurd, in Africa, Italy and France during WWII. Practically every page reveals humorous and often poignant insights in wonderful prose. Muggeridge is not after sensational expose', but his descriptions of people are not always flattering, least of all to himself.
